Nutritional Therapy:

About Anne E Cross BSc NMEd

I am a member of BANT (British Association of Nutritional Therapists). I developed an interest in Nutrition and other Complementary therapies when I discovered there were no medical solutions to my own health problems.

Anne Cross

I started to read books on Nutrition and found the subject fascinating. I began to understand the profound effects Nutrition can have on phyiscal, emotional and mental health.

I studied Nutritional Medicine for four years with the Plaskett Nutritional College/Thames Valley University, a prestigious and well recognised course. Through studying Nutritional Medicine, I have become acutely aware of the need for good nutrition in today's fast paced society. I also keep up to date with the latest research in the field.

I firmly believe that in healing we have to try to get the body back to it's natural balance. This balance can be disturbed due to stress, infection, poor diet, processed unnatural foods and lack of vitamins and minerals. By cleansing, the body, using whole processed foods and adding some supplementary nutrients the body can begin to move towards it's natural balance.

I believe that one of the main aspects of Nutritional Medicine is education and empowerment of the client, helping them take control of their health and wellbeing, helping them understand what is going on in their own bodies. I enjoy working on an individual basis with client and I also run small workshops.

I previously worked in the NHS as an Occupational Therapist.
